Hi, I’m Jennifer

I’m so glad you’re here! I’m the writer and designer behind this blog, a crochet pattern creator, and a (mostly) introverted yarn enthusiast. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband, our three kids, and our dog. Yes, our house is noisy and busy! It can be a little chaotic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some important things to know about me: I love to watch TV while I crochet (usually The Office or HGTV…or if it’s December, the Hallmark Channel), chocolate chip cookies are my biggest weakness, and 80’s/90’s country love songs make me cry. The cheesier the better!

Where this all began

My interest in crochet took off when I had my first baby.  Those maternal instincts kicked in and I wanted to be able to make her things with my own two hands. I jumped right in and checked out a bunch of how-to and pattern books from the public library. I “researched” crochet like a student and learned stitches and pattern reading together. 

Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I loved, and still love, the satisfaction of creating something myself, with my own personality woven in. A few years ago, I began publishing my own designs.
