I am a big fan of paintbox DK cotton but I have had requests for amigurumi in chenille and I can understand why the are so cute. What is the best chenille to use especially for mini amigurumi?

You could try it! I find Sugar’n Cream to be pretty rough. It has no stretch or give, which can be hard on hands, but some people love it.

Unfortunately I think this is a recent development! I think they have a US-based warehouse, but maybe they’re having supply chain issues (or tariff issues). I hope they get it resolved soon. I believe yarn.com also sells Paintbox yarns, but they are likely to be affected by any supply issues as well.
When I can’t use Paintbox, I use Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton (but it’s shinier and not a complete match). Good luck!
